I think if I can just perfect the ascent profile... 4 part, 620 kg SSTO can be a reality.

I haven't played Kerbal for a year,  so this is a bit tricky.   Anyway,  this is probably the tiniest liquid fuel only entry you're going to get.

8 tons,   two junos,  one nerv,  540 units of liquid fuel is all we need.     Bill even gets a proper capsule !

Kudos:  two kerbals to orbit (18+points)

Landed at runway.  Mission completed in hard mode.

This is probably the smallest useful SSTO that I've made:

Weighs 4447 kg, brings a 620 kg payload into orbit. This is not the lightest possible Rapier based SSTO due to the payload, but it's close to minimal.

Landed without payload

Payload is a Munshot vehicle that's got more than enough fuel to do a Mun return trip.

This SSTO is special because of its very low recovery cost. If you choose your landing spot precisely, you can get some Mun surface science for only 140 funds.
