Probably because pretty much all mods with any code in them broke for KSP 1.8.

Therefore, we just have to wait until all the mod authors update their mods to be 1.8-compatible.  Since lots of mods are involved, modders are pretty busy, so we just need to be patient.  It'll be ready when it's ready.  ;)

Kopernicus has not been released for 1.8 yet.  So you are either using 1.7.3, or running an unsupported, unreleased mod
