Technologies That Do Not Need To Be Developed Further

LWRs are a (very recent thing), they provide enough warning to pop smoke and hit the brakes, which may throw off the enemy's aim. They are better against laser guided missiles (including beam riders). I suppose you could hit the tank with a decoy laser to spook it, but laser light is coherent and thus different enough from normal light so that a laser detector can exclude it. Either way, all of those systems are able to indicate where the beam is coming from, meaning that the decoy will get blasted in short order. Probably not worth it.

I was thinking more as something like an flare but yes light diodes are not coherent and multi color leds cheats by various degree of red, blue and green light, they are not multi frequency

Scissors.

What can you reasonably improve on a pair of scissors while still keeping them at a decent price point?

A protection mechanism to prevent unplanned redirection and adaptive ergonomics to make them more finger-friendly.

Also, a sensor of pressure with visual indication.

Improved metallurgy?  Can you design ambidextrous scissors?  I don't expect scissor design to change much.

Fork and spoon.  There's not much to be done there except stylistic changes. And maybe a bit of ergonomics.

Somebody tried:

There is no piece of technology, no matter how old or simple, that can't be made worse by sticking bluetooth on it and connecting it up to the internet!
