Bring back the exploding buildings

I miss the mass destruction that used to happen whenever you crashed into a building in the KSC. The buildings are just too tough now.  What was the reasoning behind this change?  It seems that a plane with two Goliath engines going 250 mph should have a bit more of an effect.
