Suggested Mods for 1.8 Interstellar Travel/Engines?

All in the title! As we're on the cusp of having Kopernicus brought to 1.8, the inevitable deluge of updates to well loved and popular exoplanet/exosystem packs will begin on the forum.

That being said, I'm quite keen on joining in. However, what sort of mods would you lads recommend for someone seeking to reach, say, another star in-game? I use TACS, and would prefer a less time consuming method to reach said places (also to conserve resources).

Have you tried any of the following: IXS WarpShip, Near Future, and Far Future Technologies. I have gotten all of them to work in 1.8.1 and they do work well together. I would recommend IXS as it gives you warpdrives that are fairly well balanced and can get you to other stars in a short amount of time(I also use TACLS).

I am in the process of updating the IXS warpship mod, and the Spacedocks which go along with it.  Watch for a release in the next week or so.
