Saves are bugged and not appearing

like the title said, my saves when opened up the game and click resumed save there was nothig there and clicked resume save again and nothing happened, so I made a new save, flew to KSC 2 since I was bored and then shut down the game and restarted it and went to click resume save again and the menu showed no saves then I clicked resume save again and nothing help me please.

ok I deleted all the files that where in the KerbalSpaceProgram and reinstalled and still its like that but

I have no idea and even though I deleted all the stuff in the KSP folder and reinstalled from steam its still like that can someone help me?

after  I click cancel and "resume" again nothing happens

Hmm, have you done a steam file validation? This probably won't help because you already reinstalled the game but it might provide some insights into what's going on.

ok I can now save save files but the training missions are not there but whatever.

I cant remember what it was, but there was a certain character or path that caused KSP to act weird for me.

Try copying the entire KSP folder from where it is to the C drive, or D drive so it looks like D:\KSP and run it from within there and see what happens.

May not be related....or it might be. seems to be an issue primarily with the DLCs

Just in case it helps i had the same exact problem with Kerbal and other games and i fixed it by turning off Windows Controlled folder access.Everytime i saved nothing happened etc.

Use controlled folder access

1. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
2. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
3. Under Controlled folder access, select Manage Controlled folder access.
4. Switch the Controlled folder access setting to On or Off.
