Pink Square Problem

Guess most of you already have heard of the Pink Sqaures that keep appearing in some Installs since 1.8. My Problem is that the possible Causes I've read about don't apply to me as I didn't have PlanetShine and currently (1.9) don't have Scatterer and EVE. Updating the Video Card Drivers didn't help either. On 1.8 I at some Point found out by reinstalling Mods one by one that they are caused by Texture Replacer and reluctantly removed it but soon later they appeared again. This Time I can't track down any single Mod that causes them (so I reinstalled Texture Replacer because it won't make a difference anyway).

I am aware that most my Mods are outdated as they are currently unavailable. However, I already had the EXACT same Problem with 1.8.1 and almost all Mods being properly updated.

 

I don't have PlanetShine, Scatterer or EVE.

 

EDIT: They only appear for about 30 Seconds; almost forgot to say that. See the Example Video.

It's most likely a reference to a missing shader. Squad decided to rename all the shaders for 1.8 which causes the problem.

 Unfortunately there is no easy way to search for these missing references.

Thanks. My first Assumption was that it is caused by a Visual Mod but the Reason might be literally any Mod?

So I better start by checking the inevitably outdated Mods that aren't maintained anymore (like SEP or CactEye) and if it's not them wait for the other ones to get updated.

 

EDIT: Little bit of an offtopic Question: Do you plan on releasing Advanced Fly by Wire, DangIt and other Mods for 1.9 or do you expect a 1.9.1 to follow soon? Didn't experience any Bugs on 1.9 yet but some others obviously did. I'm just curious if getting a 1.9 Installation going is even worth the Effort.

So a few problems if you are running 1.9 KSP.

You have some outdated mods. This is causing some issues.

You have B9PartSwitch v2.6.0.0 Compiled against KSP 1.6.1 . See newer release below.

You probably also need to update NearFutureAeronautics-1.0.4. Not sure what version you have. But this may give you the missing WildBlueIndustries dll's that are causing these errors on NearFutureAeronautics on several parts. For Example.

Community Category Kit is release V4.0.0.0 made for KSP 1.5.0

Latest one is CCK 4.1.0.0 for KSP 1.8.1

In the AirplanePlus mod, you seem to be getting a bunch of DDS format errors and then parts not loading. Seems 18 or so parts wont load, only did a quick count.

You should also give this a read. You are getting a bunch of NullReferenceException from this issue.

You are also getting these errors for StationPartsExpansion. I do not use this mod but it looks like the one for KSP 1.5.1. Should just mean missing parts.

My last suggestion would be to copy the "Kerbal Space Program" folder from you steam folder onto your desktop or other location and launch from that location. So you wont get hit by updates and possibly ruin your save or stable setup.

Got it going. The pink Squares are caused by EVAFollower. The outdated Mods are somehow functioning, except Scatterer and/or EVE as well as-obviously-Kopernicus.

 

EDIT: I first got a lot of Error Notifications and a lot of Mods were not functioning properly or not functioning at all. Stupid me renamed the outdated Mods (and some more) in the GameData Folder. Guess that caused this Errors in the Log.
