Any N1 mod for RSS?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know any mod that has the N1 for RSS? I wanted to use Tantares but when I install it it appears in the name of the non Ro pieces, and none of the pieces work in the RSS nor the propellants are switched to the ones from Real Fuels, I know it has Soviet Rockets but this rocket for some reason it pulls a lot of ram from my pc, does anyone have any ideas?

The large ram usage is because the mod is just very large. The lag spikes in any ksp version before 1.8 are because the game was unoptimized and terrible and the garbage collection caused a lot of lag with high fidelity models and crafts with a lot of parts. If you are using ksp 1.8 or later and still get lag it's because your computer isn't good enough. If you are running out of ram, get more ram. RSS/RO is not for people with slow computers, and I don't provide support just because your hardware can't handle it, the only way to fix the mod for bad computers would be to make it worse. This is going to get worse with newer releases of RSS/RO because of changes to textures and heightmaps that will be coming soon. The heightmaps will be much larger to get more accurate shorelines and these are loaded uncompressed into RAM so you will need even more RAM. You shouldn't be playing RSS/RO with less than 32gb of ram if you expect to be using any mods with it also.

I have a base RSS/RO test install with just my mods installed and using ksp 1.8 I get no editor lag with the N1 and 1:1 delta time in flight. This is something that never happened in previous ksp versions despite having a very expensive computer. The game just wasn't optimized well enough.

EDIT: I would also like to point out that having 30 engines running and using smokescreen particle fx will destroy your framerate if you don't reduce the max particle count.
