Playing 1.8.1 science mode, but the problem persisted even on 1.9.1 (i downgraded).

Can't EVA, says that I need to upgrade the astranout complex, but I'm playing science so it's fully upgraded.

Also outside of Kerbins SOI I can't place any manouver nodes at all.
