Alrightio! @EveMaster you have scored 1450 points! Nice job!

One small correction: It was 74 experiments instead of 72. So it is 20 more points. This time it was my mistake because I remembered the number incorrectly. You can see the number of experiments on my last screenshot back in orbit and on the screenshots of @Space Nerd.

Nicely done. Regarding your questions in the imgur post of the return:

For some reason the PE dipped into the atmosphere, so I have to do a radial out burn.

Probably the inclination correction caused this. If you are not in a perfectly circular orbit, burning normal/antinormal also changes the height of the apoapsis and periapsis.

After countless faild attemepts, I set the docking force to 200%.

Docking in low Eve orbit is not easy because of the fast drifting. You can make your life easier if you orient the crafts facing normal/antinormal. This way the drift is directly towards the crafts or away from the crafts to dock and not sideways.

For some reason the orbiter drifts from prograde if burned for too long, so I have to split the ejection burn in several parts. (Shut down the engine, wait for the orbiter to turn, then relight the engine.)

Maybe the craft ditched into the atmosphere on the long ejection burn.

@EveMaster how should we call our ships?

I would have called them Eve Trinity because there are three of them, if there wasn't the nuclear bomb Trinity. Do you have any better suggestions? If not, we can stick to the not so creative "Eve Orbiter", Eve Science Plane" and "Eve Ascent Module."

The craft files of my mission are here:

I'm taking another crack at this challenge since it's really unsatisfying to only be 70 points behind, especially since that is well within the margins of my previous mission.

@The Doodling Astronaut The mission has a similar flight profile to my second attempt at this challenge, but I'm focusing much more on biome hopping and much less on many landings. Is that acceptable?

By skipping some science-poor and high delta-v landings (Tylo, Vall, Duna), I was able to fit in many more landings on the other bodies. I also flew past every destination and collected science from high and low orbit. I feel this submission is more in the spirit of this challenge as I biome hopped a lot more.

Since I collected science from every destination I think I would have the same points for destinations as the last mission.

This is what I think my score would be:
Destination - 290 pts
Spacecraft - 2470 pts (If it's really necessary I can provide a list of every experiment I did in this mission to prove that I didn't cheat by collecting Kerbin/Sun/Laythe science)
Aesthetics - 20 pts
Difficulty - 40 pts
Total - 2820 pts

Even with this new mission I had a good amount of margin. If I had taken a more efficient route from Moho to Kerbin I'd have over 1000 m/s left in the nuclear tug. I probably could have then added more liquid fuel capacity to the lander and tanker, and gotten one or two more Moho landings.

Round 5 is Underwater Understudy. I still am thinking what should be allowed to make a submarine work. thoughts?

I think part clipping of ballast tanks to reduce buoyancy should be allowed. Opening and closing cargo bays to control buoyancy should also be allowed.

I have been experimenting. Do you have examples of the cargo bays and tanks, they haven't worked for me yet.

I haven't tried them out yet. I read that somewhere and don't know if it works in the latest version of KSP.

Interesting, well, I gotta try them out or if someone else can because I am really in the pickle situation.

Here's a good video explaining KSP buoyancy

I watched that video and thought we need a Submarine round. I tried all three so far and they aren't really working. the only time I got it to PARTIALLY work was with the fairing clip.

Hey all,

So I decided that round 4 will be the last round of LLC

I decided that Round 5 deserves to be it's own challenge.

More to come out on that soon but I will be making a kool patch so if you want to be in it submit before October 30th
