how bad is the google translate german that was in the ATUAY thread?

Like I said, a native speaker definitely will understand it perfectly, it just sounds a bit odd, wooden.

Btw, @Spaceman.Spiff, I assume you're a native English speaker then?

If yes, is it "Just coming into my mind" or "Just coming to my mind"?

The little things a non-native speaker wonders about, you know.

Yep. I am a murican lol

Because English is weird,

you can say, "it came to mind"

I would usually say "I just thought of/that ________"

It depends really. Those are understandable sentences, but like you said about Google Translate, it sounds a bit stale.

Coming is also not the right tense. In that case I would use "came" or "comes"

Coming is more like, "My friend Todd is coming to town tomorrow"

Came is, "My neighbor Fred came by yesterday to have a beer."

Comes is more third person,(read in David Attenbourogh voice if possible)  "As the baby bird comes out of the nest for the first time, it nearly falls off the tree."

‘Murica

(Informal, NAmE, sometimes derogatory) muh-re-ka

Short form of ‘America’, especially when referring to the United States of America.

Possesive: Murican

Brief version:
"America" with(out) swollen "a" and mistyped "er/ur", like if pronounced/written by illiterate person.

Note. A person using this form intentionally is not necessary non-illiterate.

Spoiler

@adsii1970, ban him, please. He again typed right before me. It looks like a telepathic trolling.

Upd.
Ok, as at least someone didn't get the joke:

 it's a joke.

the standart german, hochdeutsch, is I would say hard to learn, but the local dialects, oh god

for example:

Englisch: What are you doing right now=

Hochdeutsch: Was machst du gerade? / Was machen sie gerade?

Badisch (from the state Baden-Wuerttemberg): Was machschn grod?

the best dialect though is Sächsisch from Saxony IMO

watch from 0:51

the video context is not the point of the posting of me, it's just the way he is speaking, so I'm not talking about what he says or smth.

this is not meant to sound offending to anyone

And then there is Swiss German, many native German speakers can't understand that. And almost every town has it's own dialect. :)

and don't forget nederlands, though it is de jure not an accent of german I think

I'm so bored, I can't go onto my pc because there are people in a room next to it and I do not like to have some random people in my house when I'm in my house, so I don't like playing on my pc in this situation, but I would like to :(
