Probably ESA is going to launch something expensive and significant in July/August, so needs it KSP-proven by that date. So, 1 July is a deadline for that. As long as we can enable/disable it, and it's really simple, ea. 1 kerbal eats x amount of snacks per day. You need to pack x amount for your 128 day journey to Duna. That'd provide a fun yet simple challenge. Untill you go to places like Eeloo and Jool. Or when you have lots of hungry lil'kerbals. Maybe we could even grow snacks on places like Laythe and Duna.
