MYSTERIOUS SIGNAL ORIGINATING FROM EVE ON 15TH OF SEPTEMBER 2045 KERBIN STANDARD YEAR (KSY) AND MYSTERIOUS STRUCTURES ON EVE INDICATING POSSIBLE EVIDENCE OF PAST HABITATION

 

3 weeks ago at approximately 15:46 East Jebistani Time (EJT) the East Jebistani Space Center (ESCC) reported a mysterious signal originating from the planet Eve. The signal was unusually powerful and continued for 72 seconds before stopping. Cause of the signal remains unsolved as of the creation of this document.  ████████  ██████, a scientist from the Jebistani Space Agency (JSA) was astonished but is advised by KIA personnel to keep such event classified until ██/ ██/ ████.

 

Yesterday at approximately 17:44 West Astanistan Time (WAT) The █████████ Rover at Eve photographed mysterious structures protruding from the surface of Eve. Mission Control was immediately contacted by agency personnel to keep the event classified until ██/ ██/ ████ .

 

Following inspection, the structures are composed of spikes, arches and walls organized in a unusual pattern, and are made of a mysterious purple stone. Possibly tinted by the atmosphere. Closer inspection shows carvings on the structures, composed of strange symbols, stick figures, possible animals, water, and a grassland environment.

 

A possible theory by ███████ ███ , who is a leading scientist at the agency's Science Division, states that Eve was once a lush world like Kerbin, Kerbol then increased it's luminosity as it aged which pushed Eve out of the habitable zone. It's oceans boiled away and life was extinguished. The fate of the sentient beings remains unsolved. Some life could have survived underground in insulated pockets or in underground reservoirs. Interest in finding this insulated pockets has pushed the agency to send a secret expedition to map and access these areas in collaboration with several space agencies.

 

The expedition has since been approved by ██████ ████ , the head of the agency.

Further analysis shows that the carvings tell the stories of an advanced civilization which is composed of how the structure was able to be constructed and a message to future generations.

The civilization built it using some form of shear legs, which carried massive marble rocks with some possibly originating in a mine miles away from the structure. Before they were carried, they were carved into various shapes.

Discovery of More Ruins

Approximately 20 Kilometers west from "Evehenge" are discovered more ruins, closer analysis shows these are the concrete foundations of buildings, possibly a modern city. The official sign that the possible civilizations that once inhabited Eve are once technologically advanced as ours.

 

Successful Mapping of Insulated Pockets Beneath The Surface

Using advanced piercing X-Ray technology, the crew has successfully mapped several insulated pockets beneath the surface. Liquid Water has been detected.

 

Successful Extraction of Groundwater

The crew has successfully drilled to these pockets, and using a pump the crew has successfully extracted the water. Using a telescope, droplets of water harbor millions of simple organisms. Life has defied all the odds on this ever hostile world.

1. Mission Background

Recently the discovery of "The Face On Mars" following a massive dust storm which revealed it had led to the Agency funding a second interplanetary expedition. The structure is located in ███████ Terra, which is only 20 KM from the recently founded Duna One Colony. The mission uses it as a launching point in which the crew uses a specialized Duna vehicle to get to the location of the structure.

 

2. Mission Findings

The mission found that the structure is made of hardened regolith through sampling. The structure "opened up" as the crew approached the structure, followed by a communications blackout. Causes are unknown.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS COLLECTED VIA AN INTERVIEW WITH THE SURVIVING CREW MEMBERS

  As they entered the structure, the formerly white "interior" of the structure changed into a pitch black color. In the front of the crew a hologram of our solar system appeared followed by the appearance of a "Dunaean" an alien described as "Similar to us, but with a rounder face, a slender body, a red skin color and much more taller than us" the Dunaean, using a form of sign language, explained that it was one of the last of their kind. The Dunaean civilization was destroyed by the Kraken, formerly known to only tamper with space travelers, has said to be capable of civilization destroying abilities and more. The Kraken has said to be affecting only civilizations of space faring capabilities. Only after the "catastrophe" that surviving Dunaeans inside the Face On Duna discovered the "Kraken repellent", a form of "dark arts" that prevented individuals and objects from being affected by the effects of the Kraken. The Dunaean later explained that Duna was once a lush green world with oceans similar to Kerbin, then the Kraken using it's planet affecting abilities, somehow solidified the planet's interior causing the magnetosphere to decay and killing all life on the planet. It later warned our civilization of the Kraken declaring it a threat to all civilizations in the Universe. It also mentioned a cult surrounding the Kraken that practiced "dark arts" The crew later told the being a similar cult can be found on Kerbin as well, in the form of The Cult of The Reawakening. The being later ended the "presentation" by transporting the crew outside through teleportation. Outside, the crew saw the mask was once again covered in regolith concealing it again as a hill.

 

3. Disappearance of "Seeker"

███ "Seeker"  ███████ mysteriously disappeared after the crew entered the mask while doing scouting around the mask. Cause is unknown.

 

4. Mission Conclusion

This mission revealed that Duna was once a Kerbin-like world. And harbored a intelligent species which created a advanced civilization like ours. But the Kraken destroyed the civilization and turned Duna into what it is today.

1. Expedition Background

Recently a wave of new disappearances surrounding the Northern Ussyan Forest area has prompted the Agency to send an expedition to the forest. For centuries the forest was locally known as "The Vanishing Woods" due to the fact that individuals who travel to the forest disappeared without a trace and never returned.

 

2. Expedition Findings

The explorers departed for the forest from the village of Ostyakoyovest, which is only 1.4 KM from the forest and used it as a launching point in which the explorers arrived at the forest via truck. As the explorers entered the forest, their Navigation and coordinate systems broke down. Later, their communication systems also broke down.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS COLLECTED VIA AN INTERVIEW WITH THE SURVIVING EXPLORERS

As they ventured deeper, the explorers noticed that their watches that they carried along stopped working. Further in, the ground started to rumble and it got progressively more colder. The explorers then encountered a group of people that wore similar clothing, but when the explorers tried to communicate with them, they appear to not speak the Ussyan language, but rather an completely unknown language which the explorers did not recognized. The explorers decided to ignore them. Later, a sinkhole appeared beneath  ████ "Molder" ██████ , but he did not fall into the hole because the other explorers grabbed his hand as it happened, thus saving him. The sinkhole was rather unusual, it "sucked" ████  ██████  in like a vortex and there was no bottom, but rather a blinding white light obscured it, if it has any that is. As ████  ██████  was saved the sinkhole "patched itself up". The explorers decided that the forest was getting too hostile and backtracked to where they came. Thus ending the expedition.

 

3. Expedition Conclusion

Any form of technology seemingly breaks down as you enter the forest. You also may encounter strangers who possibly speak no known language, the surviving explorers speculate that the sinkholes are portals to parallel universes and these strangers originate from said universes who are sucked into the "sinkholes" of their universes' version of the vanishing woods, The explorers later state that every parallel universe has their own version of the vanishing woods. The reason why at some point the ground rumbles in the forest remains unknown.

1. Background

Recently the discovery of what appears to be an massive underwater city hidden under the waves of Crater Sea has prompted the agency to launch a underwater expedition using submarines to discover it's ancient secret and possible origin.

 

2. Findings

The site is composed of buildings whose architecture appears to not resemble traditional Kam'nuian architecture but rather traditional Athenkosian architecture, these structures appear to be made of a dark green stone. As one of the explorers approached one of the structures in the site using a submarine, they noticed what appeared to be hieroglyphs printed into the dark green walls of the structure. Upon closer analysis, these hieroglyphs appear to show Kerbals praying to a gigantic mysterious squid like creature, later identified as the Kraken. The explorers then exited their submarines and entered a large Athenkosian pantheon, surviving the crushing pressures of the deep sea using atmospheric diving suits (ADSs) communications are cut during this time.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS COLLECTED VIA AN INTERVIEW WITH THE EXPLORERS

As they entered the pantheon, they were greeted by a enormous rounded room made of the same green stone with a hole at it's top. In front of them was a large tomb in the middle of the room and what appeared to be a staff attached to it. Both of them began reporting auditory hallucinations in the form of multiple voices inside their head saying "He knows all" "He will set you free" "He will always come back" and "He's never truly gone" repeatedly. They felt anxious but they remained calm in this situation. One of the explorers grabbed the staff and knocked the tomb with it, ultimately leading to the tomb opening. As the tomb opened, black smoke began "shooting out" and the entire site began to tremble. Unknowingly the entire city began to be uplifted from the sea floor by an unknown force. Inside the pantheon, the explorers were downlifted into the floor and as the city was above sea level, the waters rapidly drained. The explorers stood up and noticed that the black smoke had stopped "shooting out" of the coffin and the voices that they have been hearing had stopped. They later exited the pantheon and begin to step into the now dry sea floor. They later saw a massive entity at the horizon walking towards them, a completely featureless anthropoid statue. The entity later stopped near them, and sent a message telepathically that congratulated them for allowing it to enter our reality and later turned around to escape the city. They realized that the entity they were facing was the Kraken, itself. One of the explorers, who was holding the staff, suddenly knew how to re-contain the Kraken, bring the coffin out, say the words "Edhwyrfan toward ð¯ær and there êow lengan" while holding the staff to complete the re-containment process, which he later told ████. They decided bring the coffin out and said the words. As if some invisible force was dragging it, the entity was rapidly pulled towards the coffin and once in arm's reach, it's "life force was sucked out". After it's "life force was sucked out", the coffin closed itself and the now lifeless statue collapsed dead. The entire city began to sink back into the sea, but luckily the explorers had re-entered their respective submarines, which were lying outside the pantheon. As the sea reclaimed the city, the submarines went back to the surface to officially end the expedition.

 

3. Epilogue

Following the expedition and learning about the true danger of bringing the Kraken to our reality, the agency had began cracking down on kraken-related cults, especially the Cult of the Reawakening, which faced more frequent raids by the agency.

THE K FILES FINALE

VOLUME 5: HOW IT ALL ENDS

 

 

You find an access tunnel, hidden within a natural cave a kilometer off the main road.

 

You can enter it easily without needing something like a keycard. The door is already wide open.

 

You enter some kind of lobby, there is a seal on the wall that belongs to the Kerbin Intelligence Agency, you realize that you're entering a top secret site. But that doesn't matter now.  You follow a trail that leads from the cave entrance towards to the depths of the site.

 

There's no one here, strangely. Possibly evacuated to somewhere else. You hope that they are alive and well, especially when a colossal statue and dozens of strange creatures with octopus heads invade from some other dimension.

 

The Elevator is still up, so you take it to floor B1: Database and Supercomputers. You pass through several with supercomputers in them, but they have been deactivated. The door leading to the rooms are locked.

 

The trail leads to an office branching off from the main hall. The door is still open, so you enter it easily.

 

Inside the office there is desk with a computer on top of it. You decide to take a seat and turn it on.

It is one many cults surrounding the Kraken, but it is the most major one. Members are known to wear strange dark robes that completely conceal their faces. The identity of the leader of the cult is unknown, but is referred to as "Big Father". The cult is known to commit inhumane sacrifices and practice so called "dark arts".

Probably the best i've been at storytelling. I usually suck at storytelling.

Then again i pulled some elements straight outta Lovecraft. Especially with my version of the Kraken. The Kraken has become Cthulhu.

Might return to this series at some point in the future idk
