Why is my vehicle keep "jumping" after docking on the ground

You could also try reducing the "spring" and "damper" values on your wheels.

Jumping during docking was a bug in older versions of the game, but it was fixed almost 2 years ago. What version of the game are you running? You may need to upgrade.

i also have a similar problem. from what i can surmise, when coupling two ships the game makes some small correction to their position to fully align them. on the ground, this can cause some parts to go slightly below ground, or the wheels to become suddenly very compressed, and so the whole thing springs back. will try the advice of tampering spring values, otherwise the only solution i found is save scumming before coupling stuff on land.

That is also my interpretation. And to this the general "jumpiness" of everything spring related in KSP gets added.

IMHO saving just before such a docking attempt is always a good idea.

Start by lowering the damping options on any robotic parts such as hinges / pistons / servos  that have them to zero. if that doesnt cure it move onto reducing the spring / damper settings on the wheels and / or landing gear.

I had exactly the same issue with a truck based fuel bowser / isru / mining rig (3 vehicles) that would kangaroo all over. with a bit of tweaking it doesnt do that now.

Thank you everyone.

I have solved this problem by removing "G-00 Hinge".

I tried to use this part to connect the wheels to my vessels in order to make it foldable.

I am not sure if this is a bug or I missed some adjustments.

My playing version is

1.9.1.2788(WindowsPlayer x64) zh-cn
1.9.1 Making History
1.4.1 Breaking Ground

ah, a rover with foldable wheels. i tried that kind of design. eventually i abandoned it once i got aerodinamic fairings big enough. turned out the downside of adding all those moving (and heavy) parts was not worth the benefit once i unlocked the pieces to launch the rover whole without it burning up on ascent.

also, most of my late rovers also double as fuel tankers for space mining operations, so they are quite big and heavy; hinges would not support them anymore
