I think 10 parts is a bit too little to make it look nice. 15 - 20 parts?

I agree, 10 parts is not enough. 15 parts and a little lag for some people is much better than an ugly station. If anyone here has a really slow computer they could go early on when the station is smaller to help them dock.

Totally agree with this, why didn't I think of this earlier? :)

Also, @VoidCosmos, you might have start a separate thread with the planet/moon poll for us to be able to vote in it. Either that or ask the moderators or the admins of the forums to figure this out.

Did you vote in the first poll before the second one was added.

Yes.

Radial decouplers? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think even after you detach something off these, the part count remains constant, as the radial decupler stays where it is, it's just the part that is detached.

I‘m not sure if the not-detached part of the decoupler counts as a part. Maybe I‘ll test it when I‘m playing KSP for the next time.

It does leave something behind, but it's physicsless and it's basically part of what it's attached to.

Once you hit the vote button, you're stuck with your choices.

Is it okay if we start a new topic because some people can't vote.

I think we shouldn't set a rigid part limit. The part limit should vary based on what they are building. So the power module should only have 5-6 parts as it is just solar panels and batteries. On the other hand, aircraft and other complex things like landers can easily get 20 parts. We shouldn't fix the part limit in place for everyone, as it can compromise functionality.

Yes. Yes, 100% yes.

And I think the most a slow pc or laptop can handle is about 360, yes.

So Vanamonde, I added a poll while starting this thread. Later on, After some had already polled, I added another poll question. Now, the second poll question doesn't work for those who had polled before I had added the new question

Should we close this poll when the number of people collaborating reaches a certain amount (I say we should close the poll at participation of 30 people)? This is to reduce the size and scope of the station so it isn't too big/ too high part count/ too complex.

Good idea.

I think that once this limit is reached @Vanamonde should lock this thread so we can start a new one for the station construction and transport.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
