Sonic Boom Mod?

So, lately I've been playing with a lot of visual mods installed, and KSP looks great! But, I just think it doesn't look right without this:

Is it possible to make this into a mod?

I don't know how to get the visual effects but the Camera Tools mod sort-of includes sonic booms and audio effects. I haven't played much with it, yet. Here's an older video showing the effect:
