KSP 1.10.1.2939. Flickering conic lines when transfering to another orbit.

Recommended Posts

Hello Community & KSP Developers!

I have flickering conic lines when transfering to another orbit. Here is the video:

Things I have tried:

  • switching fullscreen / windowed mode
  • switching antialiasing to off
  • limiting framerate to 60 FPS
  • switching from dedicated graphics card to integrated graphics card

The issue still remains.

My specs: HP Pavilion Gaming, Ryzen 7 3750H, NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti with  Max-Q Design, 16 GB RAM.

Thank you for any advice.

I think it's unrelated to your graphic card and settings. It's a bug in KSP.

I've seen the same issue in 1.9.1 and earlier versions. A little bit of timewarp or a tiny burst of thrust often stops the problem.

I've checked that on another computer with completely different hardware and drivers - and issue remains. So yes, it's a bug in KSP.

Are developers monitoring this forum? Are they aware of this error?

Do you have cloud saving enabled on steam?

You might be carrying over some problems with cloud save.

They are monitoring these forums but they also look at the bugtracker site.

This looks like the bug you having but its on Jool.

Maybe post a new bug report there?

There is something about it. I was unable to reproduce the issue with fresh new game/save (sandbox). My career save is two years old or so - something might have broken inside when transitioning from version to version.
Anyway, I will report this bug on bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com.

Hope your save is fine.

Try verifying files, and starting maybe once without any mods etc, make backups though.

Btw dunno if you know but you can enable surface features even in old savegames:
