Does anyone know if there's a mod compatible with this that has a camera without those ''dead pixels'' ? Thanks

Pretty sure thats the cameraHasErrors key in the config. = false for clean pics, = true for the dead pixels. cameraErrorRate sets the amount/density of the dead pixels.

Hey, how do you add the NeptuneCamera module to a Transform? I'm just starting out with Unity (version 3.0) and I'm just looking to see how this works.

EDIT: Oh wait, never mind. I think you just add the module to the config file.

Yup... you just need to make sure you define a transform name, that already exists in the model, in the cfg using the cameraTransformName = key.

Any chance you can add the ability to set these three values:

cameraForward = 0, 0, 1
cameraUp = 0, 0, 1
cameraPosition = 0,0,0

Sure I can add in CFG based transform definitions. So the intention here is to I suppose allow cameras to be added to parts without the suitable transform already?

It might take a little while though, I don't have KSP installed any longer.

Yes, i was trying to add a camera to an existing part which I can't edit.

Thanks

If it's ok with you, I can take a look at it, might be able to puzzle it out.

Also, I'd like to incorporate this into a camera experiment UI for a mod, Universal Storage II, which I'm currently working on.   Would that be ok?

Finally, an FYI, two things

  • CKAN has the mod listed as MIT.  You listed it as ARR in the OP
  • The zip file does not contain a license

Is it possible to add the neptunecamera functionality to, e.g., the scansat/spacedust/sspxr telescope parts? If so, can you give me guidance for going about this? I'm working on a patch that lets all four work together.

@Beale Could you add HullcamVDS to the list of supported mods?
I guess support was low-key added recently... (it doesnt even seem to be mentioned in the Hullcam changelog :P )
It might help point people to a ready-to-install mod that supports NC, for wider audience that doesnt want to install BDB or Tantares just for working NC cams ;)...(and lessen reports that NC doesnt work wen they install it ;) )

But this patch file was included in a recent release:
https://github.com/linuxgurugamer/HullcamVDSContinued/blob/master/GameData/HullCameraVDS/MM_Scripts/newcams_NeptuneCamera.cfg

& link to the HC release thread:
