Hey there!

I'm trying to downgrade a heavily modded KSP to 1.9 to install ReStock, because I am impatient.

Please, send me words of support, or tips to not throw my hard work to the trash in 1 click.

Thanks

-Matias

Make sure to downgrade all your mods to 1.9.1!

HELP WHAT DO I DO NOW

For now, do NOT try to load anything, just new saves and crafts made in 1.9.1

If you had any save that you made in 1.9.1, but didnt loaded in 1.10, then its safe to use.

Save files can (in some cases) be rolled back to a previous version, just change the version at the top of the save file and hope you aren't using any new parts that aren't in the older version on any of your active crafts. Or use an old save from the old version and lose the progress in the new version.

ALWAYS... make backups *before* making substantial install/mod changes....

I dont know exactly what Steam users can/cant do with their installs, but if you bought from KSP Store, you can run multiplle, parrallel KSP installs in sperate folders... easy peasy.

I'm pretty sure that when you take the steam install out of the steam folder it behaves like a regular install. I bought from steam and have multiple separate instances. The only difference is that you have to run ckan as an administrator for it to work, but that's because steam is in programfiles (x86).

Only if you leave your steamlibrary in the default location.  Also you can put your copied installs anywhere you want (I never leave them under program files.)
