Kerbals constantly sliding, in even terrain too

Recommended Posts

I was doing some Kerbin ground science when i noticed my Kerbals were sliding i guess kinda fast, in a full even terrain,

Mun and Minmus is same too but a lot slower.

But on Kerbin, they sliding fast, havent even tested in in uneven terrain.

Very old problem which is being attributed to the Unity/PhysX engine.

On the other hand some mods appear to find ways to work around it to more or less degree (and so far none of them apply to kerbals - yet):

I know but lately there is a huge improvement and i have rarely seen any vessels/crafts sliding,

not to mention if you use structural panels and or grippads.

Its been so much better in the latest versions.

Thats why i was surprised to see Kerbals still follow the old sliding habits, but hey, my bases/crafts/planes etc rarely slide, maybe not even at all so i am ok, just weird to see the Kerbal thing.

It's much better than it was before version 1.10, so I though, that my mod will be in decline, but I can try to apply it to Kerbals. After all, BonVoyage will include Kerbals in the next update too.

Would be nice if that was something doable but i am happy my vessels dont slide anymore.

Edit number 3, they seem to slide if on top of the vessel or on the ladder,

but personally i am just happy my vessels dont slide.

"just" zeroing out the torque:

I been using Parking Brake mod since yesterday and i have no problems at all.

The vessels are anchored, nothing is sliding,

ofcourse i might have missed something but so far it does a perfect job.

No more constant sliding for me
