Can you guys tell me your list of non graphical mods you include in just about any modded playthrough? I would like to make a survey about this later if enough people respond. Just would like to know what people feel they need to add into their gameplay.

Maybe try to keep the lists below 5 mods but add more if you really feel strongly about them.

Transfer planner is the only one that anyone actually “needs” anymore, as it is almost practically impossible to get proper transfer windows without it or going online and finding out there.
Everything else is just wants.

Did you just read the title and not the OP?.....

Always, without exception:
KAC
EditorExtensions
RCSBuildAid
MechJeb || KER
KJR
Various fixes for current stock bugs, e.g. WorldStabiliser, ParkingBrake, KSPRecall, TAC Fuel Balancer.

Almost always, with minor variations:
FAR.
Realchute
TACLS + Kerbal Health || USILS
CLS
KIS + KAS
Waypoint Manager
ContractConfigurator + various contract packs
StageRecovery || FMRS
Most of Nertea's stuff
Most of SuicidalInsanity's stuff
ReStock + ReStockPlus

KerbalEngineer

Community Category kit

Filter Extensions

Janitors closet

Editor extensions

Hangar Extender

KerbalX

MouseAimFlight

Memgraph

S.A.V.E.

Patchmanager

Tweakscale

I have to say these are more than are good, but after some time you can't live without some mods

Moved to KSP Discussion as this is about playing the first game, not KSP2.

Personally, my only must-have mod is KJR.  I find the game fairly annoying without it as manually setting autostruts all the time is just busywork without adding anything to the experience.

Other mods that are almost always present:

KIS/KAS
Konstruction!
SmartParts
SimpleAdjustableFairings
DockRotate
KRE
KER
VAB Reorienter
FMRS
Superfluous Nodes

Kerbal Alarm Clock is the only one I genuinely couldn't play without.

I've never tried playing without Kerbal Engineer Redux, but with the info that is now in the stock game I'd probably find I was fine without it.

I always install ScanSat, but that's at least partly because the yellow octopus flag is the one I always choose...

I recently installed the mod that allows docking ports to rotate, and that has revolutionised my space station OCD, I think I would struggle to remove it but could definitely play without it if it broke or something.

Kerbal Alarm Clock
Editor Extensions Redux
RCS Build Aid
MechJeb
Hyperedit

For non-parts mods, these are the absolute minimum to play the game for me.

I put up the poll.

Poll seriously flawed by requirement to select at least one from each "continued" section, giving undue weight to the last 5 options. None of those were on my list, yet I cannot vote without selecting one.

just look at the numbers on the right, not percentages

Edit: Nvm, I see what you mean

Edit: I evened out the amount of selections and only moved responses with no votes yet

Better, but still pretty broken. You're still forcing at least one pick from each group.
Granted it's probably an artefact of this crap forum software, but it's still going to skew your results.

It's likely already screwed up your data, note the 4 votes for Dmagic (obvious best pick of the original group 3) despite it not being mentioned in any replies...

Have any suggestions?
