please help the wheels make it physically impossible to land

when i try to land the wheels bounce up and like half the plane explodes and jeb crashes and dies i'm landing at around 100 m/s horizontal velocity and like 5 m/s vertical velocity but as soon as i land the plane just gives up and explodes.

First, landing with the brakes already applied probably isn't helping.

Second, your landing speed (127 m/s) is over 280 mph/450 kmh.  Normal jet landing speeds are more in the range of 70-80 m/s.  It may be possible to land at that speed, but it isn't going to be easy

Have you clipped parts maybe a bit too much in this craft?

Place the wheels under the main body, not under the wings, and move them to where you want them.You can hold Shift to move them further.

They will be a lot more durable that way, it is a just tiny bit cheaty, but makes things a lot easier.

Make sure you use grandparent autostrut everywhere.

First of all, hit F3 as soon as you see the plane break apart to see what exactly has happened.

Secondly, what is with that plane design? Tiny wings will make it hard to fly slowly, some of the control surfaces look unnecessary and it seems very twitchy on the controls. What is it for, and why the narrow wingspan but excessive control surfaces?

Third, you’re flying far too fast when landing- over 130m/s at touchdown. Stepping through it as slowly as I can, it looks like the landing gear compresses as it touches down before ripping away along with the main wings. The left gear touches down first so the left wing comes off, bouncing the plane to the right which then takes out the right wing and causes the left roll immediately after the wings come off.

Having the wheel brakes on is probably the culprit, but without seeing the F3 report it’s hard to say for sure. Set your airbrakes to the abort (backspace) key instead of brake to use them independently of the wheel brakes, try to fly slower at touchdown- use a higher angle of attack if you have to to maintain lift- and don’t use wheel brakes until all your wheels are on the ground.
