Guest
A more fitting logo? for behind text (rough copy) Coffee-break concept rough copy, logo should advertise contents abit better/more ....not my branding main GFX/3D edit tools main specific DDS edit/export tools main Game engines suggested some rare tool logo's (to help spread word on them, 3 or 4, like: MWGFX TOOLS, LAZPAINT, TAS's PDF Edotor, etc) 2 or 3 FOSS games to learn on logo's (Alex 4, etc) art (gif/webp) of an ASCII "@" character becoming an 8x8 "Tile of player" THEN: these short cuts... long story short: with the sfx packaging I can not "cleanly" add with Advanced Installer (reliably) I can make a pStart and/or VNC-Helper launcher/shortcut menu FOR DEFAULT install location (root of C:\) I CAN install both with installer (or SFX), once again DEFAULT locations..., I will not autostart either (thats pushy) Both can launch commands/bats/etc, in fair detail (chaining results with more "helper" apps) THEN 2: Github pages will allow me best access/space for this project.."mostly under my full control", I can mirror the static regaurdless (in a few places I have full control, outside of North America). This will give us releases, sources, wiki's, full website/updated news... all in the same "Github arena" (AKA: access to all from my main Github profile page). Guest
Bummer note: Jetalogo maker went "demo-ware" sometime in the last 2 or 3 years (starting on v2.x...I missed that)...no save/export free (dirty, greedy move) I'll drop v2.2 back to v1.3 (last freeware) in next update (its just an EASY directed logo maker, as an editor...its less featured than all other editors in pack, but it was simple...too bad, until then try lazpaint's clip art in its place) With version size difference its basically a 5mb of space gift...lets cherish that part, as we still get older (freeware) version of tool its a rarely used tool anyways (just for fast/simple logos for web/video/text ect, 7.5mb, its portable too), it saves opening Kirita/Paint.net or logging into "web based logo makers" for fast work looking for a replacement (didnt find 1)..i did find "Color Logo Maker" 160kb (Dev doesnt archive anymore, softpedia only source online. I claim rights to archive to provide public access/internet archive upload, until such time I convince Igor Tolmachev ppl still use this & to give it back a spot in his "old freeware" archive) its cute, tiny (160kb), effective (you know that "*oogle" style look), portable, ASCII text (but multi font/"shaping") only but very nice for its size https://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Others/Color-Logo-Maker.shtml Edited December 8, 2020 by Guest
Guest
HOLY POOP! https://github.com/kitao/pyxel PYxel, the Python based Fantasy console (aka retro 8-bit) GAME ENGINE, 5.5mb, Can Create a Stand-Alone Executables (aka your game as "your-game.exe" not "your-game.py", players dont need python) totally CUTE... look at that all 8px x 8px tile art (on top of ASCII games... 8x8 "tiles" are my fav, as is mono 32kbs/low-hz wav audio...for its size but added QOL, see Angband v4.x with classic "old tiles/audio" vs ASCII/PC beep and you'll see the wonder it was) NO/VERY low code skills needed... if you can type this you can do it: pip install -U pyxel other pics spoiled Spoiler Kinda important...... How to Create a Stand-Alone Executable By using the attached Pyxel Packager, a stand-alone executable that will work even in environments where Python is not installed can be created. To create a stand-alone executable, in the environment where PyInstaller is installed, specify the Python file to be used to launch the application with the pyxelpackager command as follows: pyxelpackager python_file When the process is completed, a stand-alone executable is created in the dist folder. If resources such as .pyxres and .png files are also necessary, put them under the assets folder and they will be included. It is also possible to specify an icon with the -i icon_file option. Guest
We have working menus...Thank Hank Van Loo (SSuite Software, WinAPI/PWA Specialist) and Horst Schaeffer (Horst Schaeffer's Software Pages, Mempad, Qsel etc,..Gifted Dev)! Qsel, Supports "Drag & Drop" Horst Schaeffer's through docs made it easy, showing Large or Small Icons, No Window Title Bar & With Window Title Bar: Suitable as main & portable package menus Lots of customization possible https://www.horstmuc.de/wqsel.htm Mac Doc (example used to modify, with Van Loo's help, linked app "calls" to build custom FOSS Office Suite inside 16mb, with pptx, docx, xlsx & pdf editing support) Lots of customization possible, more suited to "Advanced Office Suite Launcher", with 25+ "open launch slots" for user to supplement I have PRE-SET, with help, Hard coded "launch slots" to the custom office suite, BIG QoL improvment https://www.ssuiteoffice.com/software/ssuitemacdock.htm The Portable version menu was pretty easy, I can get menu to detect "Root Path" Alterations (AKA: USB shows as F:\ on your PC, but T:\ on your buddies, no issue) The Installed version...thats a bit diffrent, as I no longer package...basically installer is not "aware" of SFX contents only the single SFX file. Van Loo makes MacDock, which uses "system calls"... in laymens terms its method is to "ask PC, do you have this file name?"...IF yes = launch that "file name" Popsel/Qsel use a few (3 or 4, maybe more) methods in tandem: "%xx%" sys paths, plus relative, absolute & variable paths. Plus "dummy HTML" file linking Speaking with both they really helped me understand the process the UI's were doing "behind the scenes". I, like 10 minutes ago, tested the usb pack menu = Perfect! ....................... * Note I also spoke to supportive users of Wings 3D, We were able to correct paths so it "see's" its plugins (needed) from the launch path Wings 3D now works correctly from usb (it may crash on "exit of app", but thats no issue) .................................. I'm working on the Menu for the main package. Its ALOT of files to link, expect that around Christmas/New Years. The USB pack I will update within 24 hours The "super CHM" ended up very hard to read/navigate, and was a BIG file, going back to "local docs" its just easier on everyone. Kerminator K-100
So how do I implement this into the game? Do I use the KSP Suit picker? Or do I use something else?
