Welcome to Upsilon

Upsilon is a colonization project of where we colonize the whole solar system and more. We make bases, relays, cities, and outposts!

You can submit ANYTHING, Rovers, bases, relays, satellites, spaceports, you name it, you can do it

How do you submit?

It's actually quite simple here is how:

1. read the rules

1. Use Normal difficulty

2. No Cheating This means no debug menu, no editing part files, etc. Part clipping is fine. (But kraken tech of any kind is not) Cheating will be automatically detected and you will be banned from participation

3. DLC parts are only allowed on the launch vehicles of your craft. In order to let the final save be accessible to everyone you need to make sure that you have only stock parts on your final craft (as in no DLC)

4. No part mods and no mods that alter the game’s physics (such as FAR). Visual and graphic mods are okay. Here is a list of whitelisted mods: https://gitlab.com/upsilon-initiative/upsilon-frontend/-/blob/master/mod_whitelist.json If you think there is a mod that should be whitelisted see: #mod-whitelist-requests.

5. For long-term habitation, each Kerbal must be given 4 seats. Packing them like sardines in airline seats may be cost effective, but it will not lead to very comfortable life in space! Round down in calculations. An example: A craft with a crew capacity of 17 will be able to host 4 kerbals.

6. If your craft is manned, don’t use Jeb, Bill, Bob, or Val. Otherwise, the save is going to be filled with clones!

7. Use High Terrain detail. This can be changed in the options. Otherwise, landed crafts will clip into terrain.

8. When submitting your craft, make sure to attach a screenshot of the journey with UI and fuel levels visible. Fuel levels must be shown, click the top right jerry can so it may be shown. Screenshots should be taken using F1. Screenshots must be at launch, every maneuver node, and once you have reached your destination (Try to keep it under 30 screenshots)

9. Avoid landing at easter-eggs and remarkable point-like land spots (like the Mohole or Mt. Olympus) to avoid craft clipping. Try to stay at least 100 meters away 10. Use the latest version of KSP, you can reload an old save file and save in the latest version at it will work fine (If you are doing Community Project Frontera ignore this rule)

2. Fly your mission

Very simple, just take screenshots of every maneuver you do. Make quicksaves YOU WILL WANT THEM later on. Just fly your base like you normally would.

3. Make a save

This is also simple. Just make a save of your base in it's final forum, THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL SUBMIT

4. Head to this website

This is where you will make your submission. You will need to do the steps followed. 

How do I upload the save?

it's how you would add a mod or add flags

FOR WINDOWS:

Go to your local disk -> head to programfiles (x86) -> Then head into steam -> head into steamapps -> head into common -> head into Kerbal Space Program -> head to saves -> click on the save folder-> select the .sfs file of your save

once you follow instructs hit submit, it takes a bit

5. Await for approval

Your submission will be shown on the upsilon discord, people will upvote it if it followed the rules. People will downvote it if you don't you need 10 upvotes excluding the bot. 

6. Congrats, you just helped colonize the kerbol system

YAY! You did it, now you can brag to your friends how awesome you are

Where do you go to fly in the colonized system?

Download saves from the upsilon website

It is not recommended to download all the crafts in the kerbol system. As there is so much it will lag your computer. It's better to download specific planets
