I have ecumenopolis installed and i havent had any problems with it

Good to hear! I know Ecumenopolis also orbits between Duna and Dres, so I was worried that it might not be compatible with Helvica.

A question - what is the mass of Helvica? Please respond in earth masses.

I've only specified its radius and surface gravity. I'd have to calculate its mass myself, which I haven't done yet.

Version 0.4.2 has been released! This will be the last update for Helvica until next year.
This version greatly improves Neus Nadavo, and updates the meshes for Sothys and Redulux to reflect their terrain.
A few other things have been tweaked as well.

The update is available on SpaceDock and CKAN.

Happy New Year to all who celebrate. :)

Real life has slowed progress for the past few months, but I've been able to get at least a few things done.
Here's a preview of what I've been working on.

Looks good so far. I assume you'll be spicing the up the terrain as you work on it more?

Quick question: How do create your height maps?

Maybe. This particular body has taken up so much of my time, though, that I'd lose motivation if I tried to make any big changes from here on out.

I start with a base, and then blend in terrain features from other heightmaps or from stock planets (e.g., Kerbin's mountains), adjusting them as I go along.
I also use Wilbur from time to time.

Interesting. I overlap images of landscapes from the Internet using GIMP, then blend their edges together into one seamless map. After, I adjust the height map as needed and add mountain formations using Wilbur.

Is this what you call risking my deltaV?

Yep!

gonna land on Sothys tomorrow! :)

Good to hear. I thought I should let you know that Sothys' orbit is going to move outside of Helvica's rings next update, for both realistic and visual reasons.

(Yes, I'm still working on the next update, don't worry. It's just been taking forever because of a few issues I can't seem to solve, alongside real-life events.)

I can help you with science values, if you want! Life's boring without science text on Helvica and its moons!

I might take you up on that offer. Will spend some time making my own, first, though.
