Here is a challenge, make the fastest aircraft possible. 

Rules: 

Must be stock (asides from KE, and MechJeb parts)

Must stay in the atmosphere at all times

Must have lifting surfaces

 

Thats it! No screenshots required, just say your highest speed.

I await your results! also how do I add screenshots to a post (I am on pc)?  I'd much rather submit a screenshot of my fastest speed than, just saying it. 

Post script: My fastest speed is currently approx. 1.5 Kilometers per second (I'll get it in a screenshot once I figure out how to add those)

I have no clue. If I knew, I would do it too.

Oh, and my test flight is complete. 1,447 M/S. Used a whiplash.

Ooo! I used the whiplash too, but I used an engine plate with 9 connection points, and an engine cooler with each whiplash too.  I also ended up using that small flat probe and a heat shield instead of a nosecone because it just kept exploding.

any form of propulsion is allowed? Well I got a hamburger flying at ~4km/s with decouples, despite it being a tiny probe core sandwiched in some heatshields, it vaporized lol

And yes, any form of propulsion is allowed, as long as it is stock ksp (DLCs included). Also 4KM/S YOOOOOOO! THATS INSANE! tell me your secrets! send a screenshot of the design!

My design is VT (Like VTOL, but without the landing part) I did this to avoid the constant and unfortunate spontaneous crashes and wobbling during takeoff on the runway.

I took of and went into a 30 degree climb (which took me to 30,000 M) and then during the decent I went full throttle.

Unfortunately during the decent I lost my nosecone to the endeavors of going 1.4 km/s.

Then in an unfortunate complication my probe core (right behind that nosecone) also exploded.

My top speed was 1.5 km/s.

My top speed was 1.5 km/s.

well... you know how the hydraulic detatchment manifolds have the highest ejection force of 400? well.. i got the tiniest probe core, which is like 0.05t or something, put 16 of those manifolds on the bottom, offset them so the probe wont collide with them, attatched heatshields to both nodes on the probe core, then launched and pressed space and boom. 4km/s and a vaporized craft lmao

The plane is called the Mach V, and is built entirely of stock parts.  Conformal Decals were used for the decorations
