I have made a video on the failed (albeit successful) launch of a Vostok capsule!

I would have to agree. Such events are not uncommon with most of my unflown rocket designs (mainly in early career mode). Then again, when I do use sandbox, I MAKE SURE I have plenty of control. Too much is better than not enough in my opinion.

How does your Soyuz rocket look realistic? When I use Making History parts to make a Soyuz recreation, the boosters seem a little wide and a little too spaced out.

I feel like the key to making these not look too wide is to be sure your central booster tapers to 1.25m where the radial boosters attach.  You can see the taper at 0:23 in OP's video.  Does yours do that?
