how to let the camera follows a ship from a specific point?

hi, about ksp videos: I've seen plenty of them around, I can see cool shots which I cannot reproduce.
e.g. how do I fix the camera view in a point and let it follows a vessel?
also, how do I do those other camera smooth movements and zoom around the ship?
like from 2:31 to 2:40 or from 2:53 to 3:07.

for example, I take the last video from the "post your cinematic here!" thread.
