Mercury Atlas Engines

Im making a mercury-atlas replica and don’t know what engines to use. I looked at other replicas but i cant get a high quality image!

Nevermind most of it doesn't even work. The abort tower just boils jebediah alive

I think this is the Mercury-Atlas used to carry John Glenn into orbit but in a cargo configuration (with an Agena upper stage?).

Pretty sure this is BDB, though. Hope the photo helps you!

I have used Thuds attached to a decoupler (and set to allow fuel flow) to mimic the Atlas stage and a half, but it hardly qualifies as a replica.  I also use a mod engine for the sustainer engine, usually a Valiant from Restock Plus.  Sometimes I'll add Spiders or Twitches to mimic the verniers

Y’know what? That sustainer kinda looks like a J2, and the grey variant of the Twitches look like the vernier engines. I’ll try it!
