congrats @Popestar. I especially appreciated the creative use of a cargo bay. Now that you broke this wall, making more complex rovers will be much easier.

May I shamelessly plug my own stuff and give an example of what can be achieved with a complex rover when you add in enough functions?

Yes, I am off to bigger things.  Like driving this thing all over the Mun to find the best spot for ore to mine.

So I figured out what the surface scanner is for.  It is used to give better percentages of the soil contents, which allows for better placement of a colony for mining ore.  So far, I'm finding the canyons have the best percentage at ~13.  Now, I've only gotten the Highlands, Midlands, and Canyons, so I've got a lot of places to hit yet.  I'm on my way to the Far Side Crater, and then...who knows!  Lots of driving to do!

Please nobody tell me where the best orr places are; I want to find them myself!

Oh, there are other things to be found on Mun too, e.g. a crashed UFO, a particular memorial, and some more

don't worry, they change at every new career. we couldn't spoiler if we wanted.

the amount is also dependant on difficulty level.

ultimately, though, it is rather irrelevant; a decent tanker can refill its tanks in a few days. Double or even triple that time because of low ore concentration, it's still nothing compared to the time of an interplanetary mission.
