AngryPotato9 19
https://imgur.com/a/ocL0P4z I have finnaly done it! This can get into LKO with 47ms of delta V left. I know this isnt inpressive, but im a bad player and to me, this is impressive. Uhh, have a nice day ig.
Just Jim 14,984
There is no such thing as a bad player!!! Getting a successful SSTO into orbit with any remaining fuel left is tough, so absolutely congrats! Also, that's a pretty cool looking design, IMO
Vanamonde 13,353
I don't get as far as caring about looks. I'm just amazed if one of my attempts works at all. Congrats.
Lewie 1,532
Nice job!! SSTO's are really some of the toughest crafts to build/fly in ksp! Also, welcome to the forums!
Spaceman.Spiff 643
Looks nice; I might steal it.
HyperDraco 69
Being a fellow SSTO Enthusiast (My SSTO however usually stands for Single Stage to Oblivion) I applaud you on your pretty cool looking SSTO. I've made maybe 30 or 32 Barely functioning SSTOs in all my years of playing KSP so this looks better than most of mine already (Mind you, 30 or 32 in about 3 years which is not a lot). iamn00b 29
what's the point of using nukes tho?

I know that, my question is why should @AngryPotato9 use Nervs when the SSTO is only meant to reach LKO? They're heavy and are dead mass for 70-80% of the flight

iamn00b 29
aight yea, that makes sense i think its just im not used to seeing nervs used on anything other than long range or lf-only sstos

If I have one thing to say about improving it, it's that you can remove all the center engines and replace the Mk1 fuel fuselages with rocket fuel tanks to get something that has more than deorbit capability. Speed_Kerman 40
Looks like you've been taking SSTO construction tips from Matt Lowne.

They're heavy and are dead mass for 70-80% of the flight Here it is an atom-powered SSTO with 2000 DV after reaching LKO. It's enough to Minmus orbit and back Spoiler P.S. @AngryPotato9 , If you move control surfaces more back and wider (to the side engines), you will get more control and stability Edited February 4 by [email protected]
