Hello and welcome to my thread of a visual Overhaul for ksrss mod
this is intended to work and was not tested on 1.8.1 on the experimental dev build of ksrss and future 1.10x versions found  here https://gitlab.com/ksrss/KSRSS

For release1 and many more you have to switch the branch to the name of the release
Newest releases here:
Kve High /64k cubemaps
Kve Medium /48k cubemaps
Kve Low /32K cubemaps

 For all KsRss players to enjoy!
also this was mostly made on demand by a user i wont discuss



If any questions join discord here


this mod requires scatterer and eve to work correctly
 

Also some lag on the ground but when ksp starts to render orbit scene it goes to your normal performance

Kve adds atm :

the best performance for quality promised


with full mod in the future it could have 5 gb of data

Welcome to the forums @Musker Busker.    Your post has been moved to Add-on Releases. 

Did you intend to somehow quote your own post?

And to comply with our add-on posting rules, you need to select an appropriate license and include it on the OP of this thread and in the download package.  A link to any uncompiled source code you might have used is also required.   Thanks!

i edited the name cuz it sounded bad and then my quote to only show the message

i added a public license to the download sicen i do not own anything here and i will also edit this page to have a public license

Release1 called Fancy changelog

added 64K terrain cubemaps from rve 
added 16K cloud cubemaps from rve
added juicier night city lights
added city light glow to clouds at night

Known issues : 
many atmospheric bodies such as venus are experiencing loss of atmosphere texture and scattering that will be fixed in release2 sometime week from now ;p
Earth Aurora doesnt load also should be fixed in release2

Just a heads up, AFAIK 128k textures are not currently possible in the game engine, I had 128k terrain textures setup for rve64k but found it wasnt possible to render above 8k tiles in KSP, else I would've attempted 128k

cool lookin visual pack for kerbal sized but then not real sized real solar system

rip RAM tho, any suggested ram capacity for using this pack?

16GB or higher should be fine. 

Another thing of note, the install instructions are very vague, I think they could be improved. 

Looking forward to installing sometime in the near future.

with recent access to textures from SpaceEngine, Musker is going to try and get a installer program where you can choose exactly what textures you want :) 

this will help a lot with this current way of installing it, although all you have to do know is drop and replace the files... Musker was told how to make it so KVE doesn't replace anything in the KSRSS folder so that's coming soon (i think)

Well Well Well , Another update was delayed because *drums* i found a way to export space engine assets into cubemaps for my doing , but first if it works correctly i will need to ask the space engine devs for permission on the assets , but dont get hyped , this may not work! :D
