Manufacturing Update

I think Kerbal Space Program could use an update where you can make parts from the ore. Like the convert o trans  can make ore into fuel, there should be an options to produce parts from ore. I think this would be neat and put convert o trons a little more purpose. And maybe you could even biuld tiny VABs and a luandhpad!

I totally agree with your idea , I even proposed the same idea on this forum , but nobody seemed to like it .

I don't think it's a great idea based on the scale KSP 1 is at. It's a space agency game...

Plenty of mods also make this possible already. Extraplanetary Launchpads, Ground Construction, KIS/KAS, Not so simple construction, soon usi construction just from the top of my head.

I think ore is too vague, I would say EPL handles this quite nicely, though I would personally replace Metallic ore with regular ore

or you could have regular ore for building stuff and ice for making fuel

Sounds nice but add huge electricity consumption, eg. 500ec/s and it only works in ore deposits above 10%, not to mention taking forever, still charging funds(and ore). I imagine the funds is labour costs in mission control. It also only works with 5 star engineers and it also needs 5 star scientist. Then, it needs a flat surface, and has a chance of "botching" parts, where the funds and ore are consumed but no parts are made. Only practical for surface bases. Also, the engineers and scientist need to be rotated b/c they wear out every year and need to rest in another craft.

I agree but it sounds more and more like USI:LS when those factors are added in
