IDK why but the skin is super unnerving. Also, I think plant cells would look good if the sections on the texture where a little smaller.

I would like it clean, with the plant cells I always think that they have dry skin or a skin illness

I actually kind of want something almost like a very simple version of Mii editor. Give me a few hair options, beards, and a few accessories. Then randomize these by defaults with fresh recruits. That'd be grand.

Edit: Yeah, I know it adds almost nothing to the game, but it won't impact runtime in any meaningful way, and if it's outside the main budget, I'm prepared to buy that as DLC.

I like the plant cells idea for the sake of community-supplied lore (I remember hours of debating weather they photosynthesize or eat snacks after they sprouted) but it looks a bit creepy. I bet the cells idea would look great if they were smaller.
