No DeltaV, while I most definitely still have a full tank.

Question

I'm launching a, one moment, 78 metric ton rover to the Mun, and when I switch to my second stage, at first it said it had 1,570 dV, it now has glitched out, and just doesn't show deltaV. The burn time indicator has no seconds, and the bar is red, the staging display shows a full tank, but isn't displaying dV. I don't get it

I'm not sure this works on console, but on PC you can go over to the staging column and click the plus sign "+" next to the icons to add an empty new stage to the column. You can then drag this new empty stage to the top of the column and it will usually trick the game into recalculating the stages and show the delta-v numbers again.

In very few instances multiple new empty stages need to be added. This is very much a problem when the engine thrust plates and nuclear engines are used, at least for me.

The dV indicator is a nice tool but not really reliable. It gives me improper readings when I have multiple fuel types, engines pointed in different directions, engines toggled on or off, and all kinds of other reasons. Staging order also has a big effect on it. You might be able to get the dV reading back by moving certain engines or other parts around in the staging interface.
