"Show Thread must go on!"

P.S.
Of course it won't break in two parts and lie on the bottom across the channel.

P.P.S.
Though I insist they should better gift it to the locals before it happens.

P.P.P.S.
Also it would be the greatest charitable action in history.

If it gets to off-loading containers, that's going to be very tricky, as just taking them from the ends of the ship risks putting too much strain in the centre of its length and cracking the keel.  And the bow has only been cleared from the bank clays.  I'd say the forward third of its length is still upon the shallow bottom of the east side of the Canal.

We should know what's its cargo. Maybe they could unload it manually from aft.

P.S.
Also, there is a tested rapid unloading technology.

Article translated using google translate for those wondering “

Asma El Desouki
Lieutenant-General Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, said that the delinquent vessel Evergiven was officially seized on Monday, denying the canal's commitment to pay any compensation to the ships affected by the crisis.

The head of the channel confirmed that what was published by Al-Shorouk yesterday evening regarding the issuance of a precautionary order from the Ismailia Economic Court to seize the ship.

Rabei added that the investigations into the delinquency of the Panamanian ship are expected to be completed by next Thursday, while negotiations will continue even after this date.

Rabei stated, in a telephone interview for the "ninth" program, presented by Youssef Al-Husseini on the "Egyptian TV" channel, on Monday evening, that the Suez Canal was severely affected by the crisis of the delinquent ship, commenting: "We do not have a mistake."

He stated that the company that owns the delinquent ship details the required sums as compensation for the damage inflicted on the Suez Canal as a result of the accident, explaining that the company details 90% of the required amount: “They don’t want to pay anything,” he said.

He explained that if the negotiations were successful and the required compensation was obtained, new equipment would be purchased, despite the fact that the channel already imports equipment without the need for this amount, according to the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.”
