This is my Eve research plane that I've built somewhat recently. Prop powered, can fly autonomously if needed, lots of electric charge, Mobile Lab + almost every science experiment that the stock game has to offer (almost because I annoyingly forgot to put Atmospheric Spectro-Variometer), space for 26 Kerbals  (only 9 went on the mission though), large container unit filled with various goodies and capability to fly infinitely during daytime thanks to solar panels on the wings and RTGs inside the cargo bay. Optimizing the plane design to survive Eve reentry and landing took quite some time, but after rigorous testing in Sandbox I ended up with design that can survive reentries from low Eve orbit fairly consistently and land softly on the surface. It does NOT have any rocket engines on board, which means I will need another lander to eventually retrieve my kerbonauts, but this craft was designed for very long-duration exploration mission anyway so I am not that concerned about its inability to return to orbit

In the spoiler you'll find the whole launch process of this plane, from launchpad all the way to Eve surface and flag planting. My first manned landing on Eve too, so that's nice :). Flag planter is Bob Kerman (Jeb and Bill are on Duna surface base so they couldn't join in)

This was a pretty long time in the making, started with making a Banshee lookalike from Starcraft II. Then I decided to expand on the dual tilting fan idea with a new design. Then I found a Youtube channel that made all sorts of helicopters WITHOUT reaction wheels. Overall I managed to pack a lot of features into a craft that functions with or without reaction wheels. It can hover and strafe in any direction, having robotics controllers for each rotation and translation axis. I made this tutorial to show some advanced used of the KAL-1000 controllers!

Everything you see is without DLC's nor mods.
I don't remember how to insert a GIF here.

Able to lift 65 tons. The heaviest stock heli's ever, the length of a 747-100.

Flies great.

Airplane with real control surfaces instead of the magically operated standard ones. These require resources and with increased speed becomes harder to fly, just like in real life. https://gfycat.com/shamefulskinnyincatern

My most popular helicopter. Even Scott Manley featured it in one of his video's.

The first ever stock turboprop. At some point you see an engine failure and the thing starts to wobble. Development was quick and a real race between users to develop the fastest turboprops. I held the record for two years until people started building UFO's and there was no fun into doing it anymore.

I built this to airdrop mechanized relays around JNSQ's Kerbin, 5 relays, 1 every 60 degrees from KSC around the equator. It can also be used to transport cargo but there's no real need to do that in KSP. I've tested with these configurations:

  • Primary mission: 5 relays plus supplementary fuel, providing 150k total delta-V to get halfway around Kerbin. It can drop 3 relays, refuel, deploy the remaining 2, and land back at KSC or an alternate JNSQ airport.
  • Medium Cargo: 36 tons (1 "orange tank unit"). Good maneuverability, decent flight speed of 270 m/s for high-efficiency propellers, cruise altitude 5 km and can climb higher if needed to clear a mountain.
  • Maximum test: 72 tons. Reduced flight range and cruise altitude is limited to 1.5km.

Did I need this? Absolutely not. A network of 3 geosync relays unlocks earlier in the tech tree, costs less, and takes less of my time to deploy. Was it fun? Yes, but never again. It took a lot of time to test/revert/edit/relaunch to get something that was stable cruising at 12x physics warp.

Mods: B9 Aerospace for the cockpit and fuselage, SXT Continued for wings and engines, Tweakscale for tail surfaces.

I believe i’ve been fiddling with it for a year, and it’s still not operational, but I have a massive VTOL aircraft that’s just a few structural panels and 6 big breaking ground rotors.

It started as an osprey replica.

Then I added more engines and made it probe-cotrolled.

Then I replaced the cargo bay with structural panels, and removed the wings.

Now, I still haven’t flown it above 2,000 meters with a payload.

This is a Duna plane that actually flies reliably on Duna. I've spent a LOT of hours trying to create a plane suitable for Duna exploration. While getting a plane to fly wasn't much of an issue, consistently landing it without destroying half of the plane in the process proved to be very difficult. I went through countless amounts of designs and eventually, finally, I ended up with this. It has about 560 m/s dV on Duna sea level: not enough to reach orbit, but more than enough to sustain stable flight. In addition, it has mining equipment, so it can refuel (almost) anywhere on the planet

And you can land it safely! With 4 pairs of landing wheels and lots of wing area, it generates enough lift to sustain low glide speed and doesn't tip over even on harsh bounces. For the takeoff rearmost landing gear retracts through separate button to pitch up easier

This plane is genuinely a dream to fly around dunian skies and is probably one of the finest crafts I made. There's still very minor stuff to iron out, but the plane already works amazingly as is

Here's a late/post-war fighter design, along with 2 derivatives. All made with FAR, AJE and RealFuels.

Rapier Mk IF: Merlin V1650-9, large fuselage, large wing, rudder strake; heaviest and slowest variant, though extremely good rate of climb

Rapier IIF: Jumo 213A, reduced wing, skinnier fuselage, smaller tailplane and rudder - far lighter, faster, much greater rate of roll, turns and climbs even better

Rapier IIIF: R3350 Duplex Cyclone, fatter forward fuselage, modified tailplane - fastest and quickest climbing variant, roll comparable to IIF (same wings) albeit with a worse turn.
