Also, when I launch satellites, I lose connection outside of the atmosphere and my rocket will no longer function.

Have you got commNet turned on with “requires signal for control” and extra ground stations turned off? (All in custom pause menu options)

Got an antenna on the craft? Electrical power?

Actually, no. I can't figure out what the problem is. BTW I'm in sandbox mode.
