Any ideas for space shuttle/rocket?

Have you tried any of the challenges in the Challenges section? Most of those will test your design/piloting skills especially if you’re used to mods and modded parts.

If not the challenges section, why not browse/download kerbalx or look through the (very) long thread of

 

One thing you could try for the heck of it, figure out how to get an odd shaped vehicle designed like a boat or crane all the way to Laythe or Pol.

Build something to explore the bottom of the sea of laythe...

The Dyna-soar at the bottom right, with the weird silver booster/plane thing. Make something that launches horizontally like that.

Years ago there was a guy who attempted to launch a huge Kerbal statue (made of stock rocket parts) into LKO.

 

I don't know if he ever achieved it without cheating.

Make a huge and epic mothership which has about a dozen docking ports, is launched in one piece, and has nuclear engines and a really cool name!
