CKAN root element missing

today I wanted to download a new mod on Ckan but then I got an error that said: Unhandled exception: CKAN.Kraken: Error trying to parse please can someone help me?

Can you share your <KSP folder>/CKAN/GUIConfig.xml file? Sounds like it's corrupted.

sorry for replying so late, and i don't understand your question. do you want a screenshot of my Ckan folder?

No problem, I'll try to be clearer...

1. Open your KSP folder
2. Find the CKAN folder and open that
3. Inside should be a file called GUIConfig.xml; open it in Notepad
4. Copy and paste the contents into a forum reply

Basically the message you posted is an XML deserialization error, and this is the only XML file that CKAN uses, so it's probably this file.

That file is empty. I have tried to reinstall CKAN but with the same result.

Is there an example file you can share?

Oh, in that case it should be fine to just delete it. I think CKAN will make a new one automatically the next time you run it.

aahhhh, it works. i have the GUIConfig.xml; deleted from my Ckan file. and also have my installed mods too. thanks for your help.
