@Stormpilot such a cute dachshund! Would I be correct in guessing yours is between 9-12 years old? I would otherwise guess the white on the muzzle/face is fur shine but the lighting suggests white/grey fur. (Im nearing 40 and have 1 dachshund/terrier((i think terrier)) mix when i was an infant and 1 red and 2 black and tans, 1 male ((the mixed breed)) and 3 females) half a dog high and two dogs long!

Your right! This is Agatha and she is 10 years old.

I also have another dachshund named Abed who just had his 9th birthday.

@Stormpilot happy 9th to Abed! Your doggos are adorable! I cant recall how old the male was (I was an infant/toddler ((less than 3-4yo)) when he was here) but the first female after him was 16 yo when she passed, her successor made it to 17 before she passed and her successor is sleeping in another room and she is 13 atm. I will try to post a pic of my current dachy later tonight.

My favorite English word of all time is bismotered.

It's a pity this word fell into disuse. It is such fun to say.

Wow, I had not heard this word, online search, found that it was used in The Canterbury Tales. Most of the online dictionaries came up with nothing, but, free dictionary.com had bismotered which, I believe is the evolved form. Means spotted with dirt or mud.

Defenestrate which means throwing somebody out of a window

Sadly true. I once saw a teacher Defenestrate a pupil. A very long time ago.

Counterintuitive.

When you know that someone is hiding behind the bar.
