Radial part rotation problem

[SSTO Crasher]

So I have a problem, whenever I place a part radially along a rocket or ssto it will not place in line correctly. To put it another way imagine a circle on paper, that is a rocket from above. Now imagine a diamond encasing the circle, I have to place all radially attached parts on the side of that diamond.

I changed the snap settings, so now I can attach it 8 ways
