One Of Each Part

Less of a challenge and more of a mission idea, this is a reboot of a challenge I only vaguely remember from several years ago.

The challenge is to see how far you can get while using only one of each part per craft. This means that if you use, say, a mainsail engine, you cannot use any other mainsail engines on the rest of the craft. Or if you have a type of a wing, no more of that type! I expect that this will lead to some crazy looking asymmetric designs.

There are a few exceptions to this rule, however:

  1. Launch Clamps (Only used for ground stabilization so probably fair)
  2. Struts (Rockets would be very wobbly otherwise and the functionality can be replicated with autostruts)
  3. Fuel Lines (Functionality can be replicated with fuel flow management)

Other than that, only one of each part! This means docking ports, RCS blocks, decouplers, fuel tanks, etc. Technically you can use orbital assembly to get around this, though there will be a note next to your submission.

The DLCs are allowed but there will also be a note next to your submission.

There's no scoring or anything, just try to do impressive stuff with these restrictions.

I don't think this would rule out docking, because there are several medium docking ports, which are different parts.  The regular one, in-line, in-line Mk2, shielded, and finally the inflatable (I can never remember if the inflatable airlock is the small size or normal size..).

Also, the two Claws (small and big) can be used to 'dock' as well.

Ooh, I did a cool mission for this challenge a while back. I'll repost it here.

The Mk3 tank and the unbalanced wings, as well as the relatively high weight for a single Rapier, mean that the craft struggles to maintain altitude initially.

At 1650 m/s I turn on the Nerv and hold prograde for the rest of the ascent. This ascent profile is pretty typical of high efficiency SSTO craft.
