Basically, the trilogy remaster isn't published by Take Two (Rockstar is the publisher) and not developed by a studio they own, "Grove Street Studio" is a mobile games studio so unimportant and irrelevant that they changed name when they started making mobile ports of old Rockstar games, and yes, the trilogy is a PC/Console port of that cut-down mobile port made by a studio that never worked on a PC/Console release before.

Even saying that a game is from Rockstar isn't enough information to know anything on said game, they range form this mess of a port made by a no-name third party all the way up to multiple-studio, half a billion dollars projects like RDR2, let alone using Rockstar games to predict what Private Division is doing, there's so many layers between the two that you may as well say that the only thing they have in common is that they both employ humans.

Actually, T2 owns rockstars, and if my memory serves me, they have removed global graphic mods from many sites. I doubt that an insignificant studio is capable of this, but I am sure that if the project fails, the culprits will not be found so easily. But if the game came out great, then T2 would have written themselves good bonuses. Victory always has many fathers, and defeat is always an orphan. I think you should work at T2 in the press office, you would be great at laundering the company's reputation by dumping responsibility on bad performers or toxic users.

Unfortunately, in the comment section of the most recent video, somebody said that they were glad the team didn't show us what ovin's rings looked like from the ground since it would ruin the fun. It was by far the most liked comment. They may have taken that as people desiring not to see more "spoilers." I know there is a crowd who will gladly view "spoilers" of their own free will and then complain about viewing them, but it's unfortunate that it may have an impact on those of us who just want more info.

I know that.

The aggressive attitude of Take Two against the modding community for Rockstar games is a long standing issue that precedes these crappy remasters.

I think you're (intentionally, given your account history) misunderstanding my point. T2 makes terrible products aplenty, they also make a bunch of beloved series, but with 5 publishing labels, 25 internal studios spread across those labels and a crazy amount of publishing contracts with third parties it just provides no actual information saying that the parent company of the parent company of the studio owner is actually Take Two.

Speaking of which, I don't think there's any point in discussing with you any further.

I think many of you (myself included) missed an important bit of info a while ago, regarding updates from the team.

Here:

Stay calm people, have patience. Besides, they appear to be still in progress of hiring a Brand New™ Community Manager, so once that's dealt with, I'm sure the posts will return.

Sigh..

Why start (yet another) thread when all you need to know is right there?

This is a poor justification - earlier teasers came out without these managers. If old specialists quit, it’s not very good that people important for PR are quitting at such an important time. After all, in the past, show&tells were released directly by the developers from their accounts on the forum.

It has been maybe 3-4 weeks since we got an episode on the yt channel, is it normal to wait this long for dev diaries or show and tells?

Maybe they won't be posting it anymore?

Right now the marketing campaign is still basically in limbo, and the reveals are in the hands of the community managers, there has been changes in the team as said here:

People change jobs from time to time and right now we have 2 fewer community managers than we did for the last few months. Things may slow down as they shuffle responsibilities and stuff.

Also, overlapping threads have been merged.

And they obviously had some mismanagement going on with whoever was replacing them as both last 2 videos leaked earlier than planned from the Youtube channel.

"Community managers" here is the key, it's not about marketing the game, it's not about giving us information needed to justify an early investment as usual with indie studios (the game is not up for sale yet) it's all about managing the community and keeping the paranoia at acceptable levels.

They show us something shiny and we spend our time speculating on it and on the game instead of continuously repeating how much it sucks to be waiting for the game.

So, we can either get minor updates all the time, or the devs can make use of that time to actually code the game.  I'd rather they spend time working on the game as opposed to telling us "Look at the texture we created this week".

When there is an update worthy of showing off, they will show it.  Until then, we just have to be patient.

SPECULATION WARNING

To my knowledge, only @CoolRanchAJ and @St4rdust are still community managers.

I haven't seen @StarSlay3r around [edit they are still around so that makes three], though they are still liking posts (from NASA's dart challenge.)

Either way, thats three community managers

Right now, I think KSP has a lack of community managers and developers.  Ever since @UomoCapra (you are still very much missed) left,  I haven't seen any developments on a new manager. It would probably help if the managers they are looking for didn't have to be in Seattle.

TBH, I know they are volunteers, but I think it would be nice to see one of the moderators get promoted to a community manager

We should be lucky that they have shown us as much as they have. Be grateful for what you are given. They don't have to release any videos. (sorry if I came off as harsh)

I have no idea how I missed that. Vital piece of gameplay, and it looks excellent (referring to vid not comment)

The situation is as if someone close to you suddenly stopped answering calls. Maybe something terrible has happened, maybe the phone is broken, maybe he/she is participating in a game show and it's about to win a bag of money. But since this is an ideo about the company, someone could have looked at the forum and wrote - don't worry, we are preparing something incredible. Or that they realized that teasers were too time-consuming to prepare and that they would come out less frequently. It would only take a couple of minutes. And such a sharp interruption in communication with fans is not a good solution.

This is 100% true!

I believe that the reason this has not happened is that the devs are preparing a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.

Instead of showing us little tidbits, they are saving up for something big.

Hoping for a demo, release date trailer, gameplay, open beta testing, etc.

"don't worry, we are preparing something incredible."

Due to all the experiences that comprise my life, if somebody or company etc, in the past always showed me proof of what they claim, then all of a sudden start making claims without any evidence, my trust level will drop. I will wonder if there is a reason for the change in behaviour.

I'm not trying to say I am correct, but my viewpoint exists, just like yours exists. I'm just hesitant the community managers would think its a good idea to make a text only update post, and risk an entire thread's worth of "Pics or it doesn't exist!!" posts.

Hello all, just want to chime in here.

First, I took some time away from my position starting back in Oct to take care of some personal matters.  You'll see me on here more often again as I get re-settled into my previous role.

Second, as I've mentioned before, there was no set release cadence for KSP2 Show and Tells specifically. We've been able to regularly show some sort of new KSP2 content whether it was Show and Tell, a Dev Diary, a Feature Video, etc., but a lot of work goes into planning and creating the various KSP2 content that is shared with you all, and the process takes some time. (Sometimes weeks, sometimes months) We do plan to continue to share more KSP2 content with you, but the amount of content and the frequency in which it will be shared with you will continue to vary.

So no, nothing terrible has happened, and if there are a few Fridays where you don't see any Show and Tells, there's no reason to worry. Show and Tell isn't done with. There will be more! As for when, you'll have to stay tuned. As you know, we always share Show and Tell content here first, so you'll be the first to know when the next Show and Tell goes up. :)

I used to be indignant that the posted content was not of very high quality. It turns out I should have been glad that at least something was shown, now it will be much less frequent. I hope at least this year they will show us the release date, 2022 is already on the doorstep

I don't know I feel like we've seen a lot of heart and passion go into this so Im no too worried. Im sure everyone is hard at work. The little snippets are fun to see but its the final product Im most excited for. We'll see it when its ready. Well wishes, KSP Star, and hope you had a great thanksgiving.
