Edit your "persistent.sfs" and add "ROCSeed = 925755277" below the ordinary Seed (should be around line 11-12).

The actual number isn't important, it's just a random seed.

And yea, as always, backup your file before editing it  ;)

There already was a line ROCSeed=-1 in the file at that spot. I set it to 69420, but I cant see much features around KSC or the island airfield. The grass seems to have more texture, but cant remember how much it had before for sure.

Anyway, thanks for the help!

edit: at the desert airfield there are cactuses(cacti?)

Yes but I think they are ground scatter.

I find my lack of knowing how to edit KSP stuff disturbing.
