Over on my thread for the Nexus release, someone asked about the German A-12 orbiter rocket. It was never built, but was a fairly well sketched out idea.

I thought I'd "give it a go", but first I thought I'd check for the existing examples of V-2's and so on. But they don't seem to exist. For a game that recreates the slow progress of developing rockets, it seems to be missing. Especially seeing you're introduced to things but Werner von Kerman. Presumably the whole game takes place after Komplete Konflict II.

What's available is a V-2 (Vengence weapon 2) aka A-4 (Aggregate rocket 4). Two nose cones, the V-2 nose with explodyness, and a heat shield enabled nose cone, which is totally a-historical but also useful.

Also, some parts are available to build the A-4b (wings!), the A-9 (useless but cool looking wings and a cockpit) and the basics of the A-10 (booster stage). Plus "artist's impression" of A-11 and A-12, seeing as that's about as detailed as those designs got.

At some point I built a 3d model for the A-6 Redstone rocket which is partly derivative of the A-4, made-in-the-USA, and actually flew. FASA is a bit limbo, and users using the aggregate mod for progression would naturally look at bridging engines, so I added a basic A-6 Redstone to this mod. It has surprisingly low payload capability, so I need to double check my figures, but maybe it was just less horribly over-engineered than the aggregates. And using real world values to try to lift KSP components is fraught with dangerous thrust to weight ratios.

Whilst I agree CKAN is a great mod for those that can't use zip tools. I take no part, nor am I interested in maintaining the CKAN mod metadata for my mods. Please don't ask me about it but refer to the CKAN mod thread if you are having issues with CKAN or the metadata it maintains. Beware, CKAN can really mess up though it tries very, very, very hard not to.

Do you adopted this mod only for maintenance or do you plan to add more parts?

I saw this thing the other day and this mod is just missing some parts to build it, IIRC, tiktaalik dreaming never finished this mod

@Forked Camphor well I didn't adopt just for maintenance. Maintenance implies doing the least possible; which is not the intention for any of my addons.

The plan is to bring it up to 1.12.3, including functionality.

Since I am no 3D modeler and my texturing skills are basic at best, there will not be new new models or textures from me.

This doesn't mean there won't be new parts, that is up to you, and the other users to provide.

This glorious addon is in my pipeline (see my signature for links to The Short List and the Mod List), and it should be updated before KSP2 is free-to-play. ;p

Got it, I was asking since I saw you in a lot of my favorite mods and dindn't know if you were making parts or thing like that

@Forked Camphorthis doesn't preclude new parts; I make new parts all the time using existing textures/models.

Awesome! When you have time, if you want,  check what I told you about this mod not being finished. I think the A10/11/12 are missing some parts (Some wing or adapter), or maybe I just installed things wrong

@Forked CamphorI am seeing a model and textures for an A9 wing - so you might be right. Will see what I can do to bring that to life.

This is the first in a series of updates to this addon. Each (pre)release will update some of the parts and patches so this addon can be updated in a more manageable way.

ghostparts.cfg has been temporarily added to this addon to compensate for parts that were renamed.

Hello zer0kerbal,

I am using this fine add-on together with a few mods nerfing SAS and reaction wheels, and as it seems, the command noses are lacking reaction wheels, despite them being mentioned in the description. Would it be possibly to add them to the configs - I did so myself, however, I am not sure about what would be the most reasonable values.

@claustro Thank you, am considering - would have to be weak RW to fit theme.

@TiktaalikDreaming any thoughts? Also - @TiktaalikDreamingdo have/want to create the descriptive flavor text for the mod's Agency?
