Afterimages and weird rendering when landing on Iota looking down (REASON FOUND: Temporal AA, fixed with Scatter v0.0834)

My install is being plagued by Iota causing afterimages when pointing the camera from the horizon downwards. My initial thoughts are Scatterer, since it's on an outdated version (0.0772) to be compatible with Galileo's Planet Pack.

Does it only happen on Iota or are other planets/moons affected too? I don’t think it’s scatterer as Iota doesn’t have an atmosphere as far as I know and scatterer only affects atmospheric bodies. Try updating your graphics card driver?

I haven't gone to any other bodies except Iota in this career save yet. Next chance I get I'll see which bodies have this problem, because I know Gael certainly doesn't.

Try a sandbox save and use the cheats to go to different planets and moons, it's a lot faster than doing it in a potentially buggy career game.

Finally been able to get on, disabled TUFX. This is happening on Ceti as well. What's also weird is that you can see where the Waterfall plumes are re-drawing areas of the screen.

Unfortunate double (triple?) post, but some news

It seems this issue was fixed in a more recent version of Scatter (since version 0.0834) that GPP is not compatible with (GPP wants 0.0772).

So if you don't use GPP, this bug shouldn't exist, it seems.

It's not just GPP. Many packs (including my favorites JNSQ and KSRSS) still require Scatterer v0.07xx and they default to Temporal AA. Going into the alt-f11  Scatterer settings to change from Temporal AA to SMAA is an important step for new KSP playthroughs.
