When am I not a “new” member?

So I’ve had a forum account for atleast a month. I have over a hundred posts and over 30 rep. Yet it still shows that annoying raised hand above my profile picture. Is there any way to remove this?

The little hand icon is apparently time based and eventually drops away.   I don’t know how long it lasts, but it doesn’t affect anything.   It was added in a recent forum update, and since it doesn’t really do anything, we’re probably not going to meddle with it.

FWIW, I just responded to one of your posts elsewhere and almost added a "Welcome to the Forum" until I saw your number of posts...

It's also true that some truly new members -- have actually been playing KSP for years and have as much experience/expertise as many, many others here... So: please feel certain, "it is respected"!

There really isn’t a need to close the thread.   Others might have a question on this topic later, and there’s no harm in leaving it open till then.

Yes, I have 200+ hours of playtime but I just recently got an account on the the forums
