What about a Impact/Landing Night/Day Predictor?

Recommended Posts

I hope that something like the trajectories mod will in KSP2 as stock but also I wouldn't mind knowing if a craft is going to land during the day or night.

Probably hard to predict over years if the impact on Tylo was going to be in 4 years and the craft is still within Kerbin SOI but if the craft was closer?

But you can eye ball that by yourself tbh.

From close perhaps, but imagine half way between the Mun and Kerbin orbit.

Or having a maneuver node that is multiple orbits away.

Well, you're not going to aim your craft from that far away. You'll get into the target's SOI before making a course correction, so you do end up where you want.

You haven't ever done an Eve SOI to Kerbin atmospheric entry? ;)

No, but you're always going to make course corrections. Unless you're a maniac who just likes to throw caution to the wind. :P

You are right it does take course corrections to get just the right positioning for a Kerbin atmospheric trajectory from the Eve SOI and sometimes I have to make adjustments in solar orbit.
