Can't right click on newly placed parts in VAB

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As the title says, I can't right click on newly placed parts while building ships in the VIB.

What I mean by 'newly placed' is that I can click on ship parts when I load them from a blueprint, but when I'm building and placing new parts, I can't click on them but still can click on parts from the 'original' ship.

I play KSP 1.10.1 modded, and I've already played modded KSP but this is the first time I encounter thus issue.

Sorry if my english is unclear, please feel free to ask me about anything.

EDIT : I should also add that new parts do not appear in the staging list ; the only workaround I found for the whole problem is saving / reloading the ship each time I need to edit anything, although this is quite laborious

Hi,

Thanks for answering this fast !

Here are my logs, it's my first time using dropbox so please tell me if anything's wrong : https://www.dropbox.com/s/fl6nmveouyzxxfc/Player.log?dl=0

By the way, I think I should specify that I'm using quite a lot of mods (91 including the dependencies), but I never had this problem even with more heavily modded games, if you need a list of the mods I use please tell me and I'll try to share it with you.

There's quite a few errors in your log.

Your Parallax installation seems to be incomplete.
There are parsing errors in ContractConfigurator (maybe incorrect contract definitions?)

The problem you see is probably caused by this error when you added a Swivel engine to the vessel:

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
  at ModuleEngines.ThrustUpdate () [0x001f9] in <c1858a3f77504bd1aaa946fdccf84670>:0

UnityEngine.DebugLogHandler:Internal_LogException(Exception, Object)
UnityEngine.DebugLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object)
ModuleManager.UnityLogHandle.InterceptLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object)
UnityEngine.Logger:LogException(Exception, Object)
UnityEngine.Debug:CallOverridenDebugHandler(Exception, Object)

liquidEngine2 added to ship - part count: 12

I'm not familiar with a number of mods in your install. Do you recall if any of those changes engine parameters?

The really odd thing is that you shouldn't be able to put a liquidEngine2 on your ship, as far as I know. It's been superseded by liquidEngine2_v2 and the liquidEngine2 is hidden from the tech tree. How did you manage that feat? :)
